You use hand building techniques on your ceramic pieces… but the result isn’t what you expect?
Walls feel too heavy.
Form loses movement.
Structure warps.
Lids don’t fit properly.
And the piece loses the lightness and precision you imagined.
Creating lightweight, dynamic, and well-resolved forms isn’t a matter of luck.
It’s a matter of method.
In this workshop, you`ll learn Robert LaWarre III’s unique approach to hand building ceramic pieces, with closed forms from thin, textured slabs, using unconventional armature supports that allow you to create surprisingly lightweight, strong, and characterful pieces.
An approach that will transform the way you build your work.
