This is what you’ll learn in this course

The Linoleum printing is a technique which allows us to create stamps with sequential patterns and to stamp several pieces with the same pattern. In this monograph you’ll learn to turn your design into a pattern, to carve this pattern in a linoleum and then stamp the inside of a bowl.

We’ll explore methods to awaken the creative process and design, using simple exercises with words and association of ideas, to turn them into patterns, images and concepts, which you’ll use to decorate your pieces.

Program
  • Creativity exercise to develop your design and sequential pattern
  • Demonstration of linoleum plate carving techniques.
  • You´ll carve the central motif into a stamp using and experimenting with the techniques demonstrated
  • You´ll learn to create a sequential pattern and carve it on linoleum, from your own design
  • And using the linoleum with this pattern, you will stamp a stoneware slab with which you´ll form a salad bowl.
  • Time for questions and answers

What you must bring: pencil, rubber and a notebook for notes and to draw.

Price: 155 €/all included.

Schedule: Saturday  and Sunday from 10am to 4pm – new dates to be confirmed
