This is what you’ll learn in this course

The Japanese art of Kintsugi (meaning literally golden “kin” and repair “tsugi”), teaches that broken objects are not something to hide but to display with pride, and why not – with an added value.

This technique consists in repairing the ceramic with Urushi lacquer and gold, silver or tin powder. Every finished piece is unique, due to the randomness with which ceramics shatters and the irregular patterns formed and enhanced with metals.

Elisabet Moreno, jewelry designer, learned the art of Kintsugi in Japan with one of the most renowed lacquer master in this country.  This workshop will teach you how to repair your ceramic pieces (stoneware or porcelain) with the Japanese millenary technique of Kintsugi.

What you must bring:

1 broken piece of stoneware or porcelain, glazed with shiny glaze and broken in a maximum of 3 parts.

Price: 305 €/all included.
