This is what you’ll learn in this course
This masterclass is designed for those who have just set up their own studio, or have access to one, and would like to learn about kilns and glazes. This is what we’ll teach you:
1. Part I: High Temperature glazes
- what are glazes made of
- how to prepare an industrial glaze
- how to easily alter an industrial glaze
- how to apply glazes (by immersion, spray and pouring)
2. Part II: kilns
- Bisque and glaze firing curves
- how to program your kiln
- how to load bisque and glaze kilns
- weight distribution, capacity and shapes
This workshop is designed in the form of a masterclass, where Muriel Dumahut (who manages our studio and is also the soul behind the @mud.ceramics brand) will explain everything in detail and clarify all your doubts. For this masterclass, bring a face mask (because you’ll be close to the table where we’ll manipulate the glazes) your notebook and a pencil so you don’t miss a word from Muriel!
No previous experience needed!
