High-temperature ceramic glaze research workshop
Your forms are unique. Your glazes should be too.
You may already know how to shape clay.
You understand form, structure and balance.
But when it comes to glazing, you often end up using the same finishes everyone else uses.
And suddenly something happens:
your work is unique… but the surface is not.
The solution is not buying more glazes.
The solution is understanding how glazes work and learning how to modify them.
In this workshop you will learn how to research high-temperature ceramic glazes starting from commercial bases, allowing you to create unique, reproducible surfaces suitable for functional ceramics.
Through tests, formulas and documentation you will build your own glaze research system that you can continue developing in your studio.
What you will gain from this workshop
After the workshop you will be able to:
🔶 Modify commercial glazes to create your own finishes
🔶 Understand which component creates each effect
🔶 Develop your own glaze palette
🔶 Create repeatable glaze formulas for production
🔶 Experiment with surfaces, colors and textures in a structured way
🔶 Apply glazes suitable for functional ceramics
In other words, you will stop depending on standard glazes and begin developing your own surface language
