Perhaps you already use high-temperature glazes.

\nCorrect surfaces, but without depth.

Material glazes are not mastered simply by applying them.
\nThey are mastered by understanding them. Modifying them. Testing them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We offer an intensive workshop where you will investigate, in a practical and structured way, the behavior of material glazes fired at 1250\u00baC.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taught exclusively by ceramic artist Montse Llanas.<\/p>\n

Over 18 hours of intensive work, you will develop your own tests, modify high-temperature glaze bases, and discover how to achieve crawling surfaces, volcanic effects, and complex material textures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You won’t be working from theoretical formulas.
\nYou’ll be working from real results.<\/p>\n

This workshop can mark a turning point in your ceramic practice.<\/strong> You’ll stop depending on fixed recipes and begin making informed decisions about the surfaces of your work. You’ll understand why a glaze crawls, why it creates craters, or why it remains stable. This will allow you to develop surfaces that are truly your own, aligned with your artistic language, and significantly expand your expressive possibilities. Your ceramics will gain visual depth, material complexity, and a stronger personal identity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nLearn which elements produce surface tension and how to control the effect.<\/p>\n

\u2705 How to create volcanic glazes and active surfaces
\nYou’ll discover how to generate craters, relief, and dynamic textures.<\/p>\n

\u2705 Which materials produce material effects and why
\nUnderstand the role of different oxides, frits, and modifiers.<\/p>\n

\u2705 Color material glazes correctly
\nSelect glaze bases and experiment with colorants and oxides to expand visual possibilities.<\/p>\n

\nRead glaze surfaces and understand what happened in the kiln.<\/p>\n

\nThis workshop is based on doing, observing, and understanding.<\/p>\n

On the final day, you will analyze the results after firing at 1250\u00baC \u2014 one of the most important moments of the process: understanding what happened and why.<\/p>\n
