There is something almost hypnotic about the pottery wheel.<\/p>\n

A block of clay spins\u2026 and slowly begins to transform under your hands.But anyone who has tried it knows the truth: the key is learning the right technique from the beginning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this intensive course you will learn the essential skills of wheel throwing step by step, from centering clay \u2014the most important skill on the wheel\u2014 to shaping different functional forms<\/strong>. Through hands-on practice you will develop the confidence and control needed to throw your own ceramic pieces.<\/p>\n

You will learn how to create cylinders, bowls and narrow-neck forms, as well as how to trim and add handles.\u00a0 We work with high-temperature stoneware and non-toxic glazes suitable for functional ceramics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

No previous experience is required.<\/p>\n

A selection of your best pieces (6 pieces, chosen by you)<\/strong> will be fired and glazed so you can use them in your everyday life.
\nThey can be collected three weeks after the course date<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you prefer, you can also sign up for a glazing class<\/strong> and learn how to glaze your own pieces.
